I find it quite tricky to get breakfast into both my children before school every morning. Not because we’re in a rush but because, like me, neither of them is very hungry first thing. The dilemma is how to provide them with at least some nutrition that will see them through to the lunch bell and more importantly that they’re not going to kick up a fuss about. Smoothies are great for this – easy, fast and delicious. This Bananaberry Breakfast Smoothie is as easy as it gets.
This recipe makes about 2 medium-sized glasses.
- 200g strawberries
- 1 banana
- 200ml milk or dairy substitute i.e. almond milk.
- Throw all the ingredients in the blender for 1 to 2 minutes or until combined thoroughly.
- Drink immediately.
