Jo Rayner – Paediatric Dietician and Consultant Nutritionist
Jo Rayner is a highly-experienced registered Paediatric Dietitian and Consultant Nutritionist. She is a member of the British Dietetic Association and her practice is regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council.
Jo helps children and families achieve optimal health through practical, individual advice based on research, evidence and experience and believes good nutrition can be achieved by working together regardless of any medical condition, allergy or lifestyle preference.
Jo has a private freelance practice in Bedfordshire where consultations are available for families and she also offers nutrition consultancy to businesses, article writing, guest speaking and training for schools and nurseries.
Jo graduated from the University of Surrey in 1993, with an honours degree in Nutrition and Dietetic registration. She has worked in a range of NHS hospitals, from small local hospitals in Kettering and Bedford, to a large teaching hospital at UCLH London. Her current NHS role involves leading a team of paediatric dietitians.
Jo enjoys working with children and their families to find practical solutions to nutritional problems. She works closely with other members of services for children including a specialist feeding clinic with speech and language therapists, allergy services with clinicians and nurses, in schools for children with special needs including tube feeding and those with behavioural conditions, as well as general clinics.
Jo is a mum to two boys and wife to car-mad engineer, Neil. She is also a school governor at her local Lower School Academy
